A little while ago I introduced you all to Printmepretty. The new bespoke fabric printing company who will make up fabric based on your very own designs. Not only can you order enough fabric to make bespoke cushions, curtain, tea towels, bed linens (the list is endless) but also sell your designs through their website to other fabric lovers.
They are a fledgling business and are happy to announce their first competition:To design a fabric based on the theme Winter.

I’ve had a go and come up with this …
but then I also like it with pink snow …
or black snow. I can’t decide.
Upload your designs here between the 9th and 12th of March for a chance to win 3 meters of fabric.
You know I’ve mentioned Spoonflower before and I’ve wondered why there isn’t a UK version? Well Janet at printmepretty.co.uk had the same thought but then actually went on to do something about it!
She is currently setting up an online fabric printing service where you can upload your design, preview it in different pattern repeats and then get it printed and sent to you without the hassle of customs or transatlantic shipping delays.
To celebrate the imminent launch of the site Janet and her team are looking for a name for the printer. Not only might you end up with 660kg of fabric printing metal magic named after you but you’ll also get a copy of my book Little Sew and Sew. Which is nice. To get inspiration on whether the printer is more of a Helga or a Doris visit Janets blog here, enter the competition here, and find out more about Printmepretty here.

Lovely Hannah Read-Baldrey my Partner-in-Craft and star of her own video tutorial channel HRB-TV had me over for a cup of tea and a chat the other day to natter about the joy that is the Liberty Book of Simple Sewing (out now) and she caught it all on camera. As well as sharing some behind the scenes secrets we also have 3 copies of the book worth £16.99 each to give away. Simply watch the video below and answer the question I posed …

AND if that’s not enough of a Liberty fix for you then I’m running a workshop this Sunday (27th of October) showing people how to make the lovely fabric covered letters featured in the book.
It’s going to be held in the Liberty Haberdashery department and for just £25 you get a copy of the book, some lovely tuition and help from me and all the materials needed to make a letter of your choice. For more information visit Liberty.co.uk or call 020 7734 1234. I’ll bring the biscuits!
OOh I felt so bad (see what I’ve done there) when I realised I hadn’t announced the winner of the Cloud Craft felt giveaway. To make up for my lacksadaisical approach to my responsibilities I am giving away a second prize of my prototype ice lolly purse!
So the lucky winner of the felt package from Cloud Craft is Lynda Forster and congratulations to Miss Melvis who is now the proud owner of the purse. Use the contact form on my About Me page to send me your email addresses and I’ll get the gifts out to you soonest.
